Elnora Gunter was born in Connecticut, spent her childhood in the hills of West Virginia, and currently resides in south Louisiana. Her love of books began in third grade when she was determined to keep her number one spot on her school’s Top 10 AR List (unfortunately, she was dethroned in fifth grade). Elnora’s plunge into writing bloomed from a desire to create diverse stories that she didn't come across as a young adult and for her students to read "thought-provoking, but relatable and accessible," books that reflect the reality of their everyday lives. She writes contemporary, contemporary romance, speculative fiction, and light, grounded fantasy mainly in the young adult space but also dabbles in short fiction and select genres in adult. Regardless of age group or genre, her stories are always infused with love in all its forms, intricate family dynamics, and memorable characters facing the complexity of decision-making, all woven together by the golden thread of hope
